WWE is the number one form of entertainment around the world. If you look at the polls every year, that will confirm those statements. There is one man that has been one of the reasons for the success of the WWE, the most famous man in wrestling history, The Undertaker.
The Undertaker Keeps His Streak In Tact… But Only Just
Who will ever forget that amazing match at WrestleMania back in April 2011? It had been built up as one of the most historic matches ever and it did not let that hype down. In fact the Undertaker vs Triple H match was the only real stand out of what many people called the worst Wrestlemania ever. The match was so historic, the moment when Triple H hit the tombstone piledriver on Undertaker would go on to win an award later in the year.
The Undertaker won after forcing Triple H to tap out, and he kept his streak in tact.
Aftermath Of An Amazing Match
We all know the WWE is a character-driven form of media, however it's at WrestleMania this year when we saw the man behind the Undertaker struggle. Following the end of the match, Undertaker for the very first time could not make it out of the ring under his own power. He had to be carried out of the arena, which is something that fans had never seen before: the Undertaker coming out of a match worse off after winning.
Where Is Undertaker & When Will He Be Back?
That is the question of 2011… when will Undertaker be back in action in the WWE? He has been spotted with a much shorter hairstyle by some people on the inside and behind the scenes. This suggests that when and if he comes back a major character change could be on the table. There have been some interesting teasers on WWE programming lately, stating that something “is going to end” on January 2, 2012 so that could be a clue as to when something big is going to happen in WWE. What could be better for the company than the number one man making a big return?
The answers of the Undertaker’s whereabouts are simply unknown. Yes, there are some rumblings going around, but the WWE will have a plan and will be keeping those plans under tight wraps.
Royal Rumble anyone? Only time will tell.
